My First Quilt

The talented Camille amd Carrie are having a "parade of quilts" and inviting bloggers to show thier first quilts. So here is mine.
The pattern is from Camille's company (ThimbleBlossoms) and the fabric is Riviera by Connecting Threads. I had the top pieced by Christmas, but didn't finish the actual quilting until last month. I love it so much! It makes me smile just to see it sitting on my couch!

My second quilt is from the book JellyRoll and the fabric is Portabella Market by Moda. I like how it turned out. Its not as cheery as my first, but Brad likes this one better.
So what have I learned since completing my first (and so far only) quilts? Press. Press. Press. It really does make a difference.

Good work Michelle! They turned out so cute. You've been one busy lady!

Michelle ~ They're both wonderful! That first one looks a little familiar... can't imagine where I saw that pattern... hmmm. :)

Pressing! It really does make a huge difference, doesn't it?

Thank you for playing along... but really, you're making it awfully hard for me to show my "green thing" next week... and it wasn't even my first quilt! Yikes!

I'm so impressed, and of course, I love your first quilt. ;-) And your Portabello Market one is fantastic as well. I'd say you are off to a great start!

Both are beautiful! Good job. I love that Wild Thing pattern. I've got the pattern too - it's on my "to-do" list!
